Julian Assange :They Call This Justice ?

Assange lost his appeal against extradition to Sweden the other day.Assange claimed that his European arrest warrant was invalid because it wasn't issued by the Judiciary, but by a public prosecutor.

.The English definition of the word'Judiciary' is quite clear, and is as follows.

1.The judges of the court.

2.Law (judges).

3.Judicial branch of Government.

4.Law - system of courts in a country.

Lord Phillips,or his full title,Baron Phillips Of Worth Matravers, who is also a Knight Companion of the Order Of The Garter, The President of the Supreme Court, however was good enough to educate us all that, in fact, the word'judiciary' does not refer to judges necessarily.Oh no, the dictionary just didn't elaborate on what it really meant, he implied.

A public prosecutor, was, he proudly announced, er, just like a judicial authority. He muttered something about the French and then producing the ace up his sleeve, said he was basing the judgement on the Vienna Convention, blah, blah..

Perhaps if you are a Knight and a Baron you somehow feel you have the right to change the meaning of words.

So, now  we all know, a judge ,a Baron wearing a garter can decide that if an English word doesn't fall in with what he has in mind, he can simply change its meaning.

It is utterly pathetic.

The gartered Baron must have been laughing for the rest of the day after the hearing, as he remembered the hushed silence that descended on the courtroom as he unleashed his Alice In Wonderland lecture to the simple folk.

How mad is this world getting?

And they call this justice?
