More Austerity For Greece ?

Remember the promise, just over a month ago? Greek P. M. Samaras, promised that there would be no more austerity measures. See  http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5idcRmnIkrLHXhkkwf-n-7THRo19w?docId=CNG.cdec7d6b96b29d510bef31999e81339c.3e1

How very peculiar then, that The Greek newspaper Ekathimerini dated 30 June 2013, in an article stated the following:

" The Troika have issued a revised memorandum that indicates the potential need for new austerity measures if authorities fail to meet revenue targets and to plug a funding gap." It states," Unspecified measures may have to be taken."

" One method is the payment of the Property Tax for 2013 in 4 instalments, rather than 5."

You can bet that these measures will be introduced. There is one major snag though that the mathematically, dyslexic Troika are unable to see. If the property tax is to be paid in 4 instalments and not five, it means that the Electricity bills ( which include the dreaded  tax ) will be sky high.Well, they are sky high now, so they will be as high as a stinking dog turd on a boiling hot summers day, might be a better way of putting it.

At present, about 30,000 people are cut off every month as they are unable to pay bills as they would rather eat.

When the bills increase many, many more will be unable to pay, so the banks ( who really run this sick, sick show ) won't be able to get their money junkie fix ,and will start to suffer withdrawal symptoms. This though will make them think," Ah withdrawals, that's the answer ".

Those who were observant these last few weeks , and weren't distracted by Tennis, the Rolling stones, or a wolf in sheep's clothing taking a trip to Africa, might have noticed that the clowns in the Tower Of Babel  ( that is, the E. U.)
passed a law which will enable funds to be extracted from people's bank accounts. In other words they made it legal for them to rob banks. These people really make the mafia look like innocent young children.

Remember how Cyprus was, after they robbed the people's bank accounts , an exceptional case ?

Cyprus was, in fact, a blueprint. " Hey, we got away with it. We must do it again . It's so easy to rob banks ".Must have been the cry heard in those heady places in the centre of Europe.

We live in interesting times as the Chinese say.

You might like to read my article, "Twilight In Greece" for a more poetic take on all this.
