Brilliant Benny Hill

Oh for a dose of Benny Hill in these insane, serious times . He was great to my mind, and the charges of sexism that were  made against him, were absurd. He understood too well the relationship between male and female, and simply pointed out the funny, funny side to man's desires to have sex with women, and how women knowing this, played their games.

One of the greatest comics of all time , and the B.B. C. sacked him because they said he was too sexist. He sold his shows to the world and then made a fortune.

He had the last laugh, but tragically died far too young at the age of 68.

One story I remember about him was when he was walking in London one day.

He was with his niece  who was bout 18, when he was in his fifties. As they were passing a building site, a builder yelled out to him," You dirty old man !"

To this original remark, Benny replied: " Yes, I 'm a dirty old man, but a rich one ."

Some people said he was gay , simply because he had never married. The truth though turned out  to bethat he had asked lots of girls to marry him, but they had all refused. All the girls who worked for him, those being his Hill's Angel's, said that he was fantastic man with no conceit whatsoever.

One of the actors in his show used to turn up on the set quite drunk quite often. What did Benny do ?
He joked about it. Mind you, he liked a drop himself. So much so that he tried to not have any booze in his house, as he said, he would drink the lot all the time.

He once got a plane to Paris after a few drinks. He had more drink on the plane and the next thing he remembered was waking up alone in a forest in France !

He had no idea how he got there.

If I want cheering up, I go to  You Tube and watch one of his shows.

It never fails.
