For example, having a headline about one abducted girl will arouse far more interest than a headline about a soldier who was killed in a war. What's more, it will take readers minds off the fact that a soldier has died, or the fact that loads of soldiers have been killed.
Let's go back to the year 2007. That was the year headlines in British newspapers screamed about the mysterious disappearance about a certain young British girl in Portugal.
Yes, it was sad, yes it was tragic, but I was mystified as to why the British tabloids, in particular , made a huge feast out of this. It was headline news every single day, for months after the event had taken place.
The poor parents appeared to be perfect middle class respectable types. They were both doctors, and , as a bonus, the mother was very good looking.Photos of the grieving couple were splashed over all the tabloids day after day.The B.B. C. was in overdrive. devoting page after page on this mystery.
I am on about Madeleine McCann who vanished on 3 5. 2007 from a hotel in Portugal.Her parents had left her alone in her room while they had eaten a meal outside.

Then I started thinking and checking certain facts. In 2006 the Iraq war had claimed a lot of British lives.
Before that year the deaths were few, but suddenly in 2006 they started soaring. According to official figures 39 soldiers were killed in 2006..The trend continued with 14 more being killed up to early may 2007.

The British public were getting up in arms over this.
Did some think tank pondered on how to take our minds of this awful pointless war, and come out with the awful idea of having a story that would grab our attention day after day, to take our minds off the deaths of British soldiers in Iraq?
It was obvious that more and more deaths would take place in 2007, as indeed they did. 28 more were killed in 2007, while the McCain story was still running.
I suspect that the British and Mossad intelligence services were involved. Whether they killed the girl or sold her to a pedophile ring will probably never be known.
The Intelligence services though, appear to have made one mistake- a mistake they often make - they underestimated the intelligence of Madeleine's parents, because they will not let the matter rest.
This affair is now again, headline news.
Maybe, just maybe, like the death of Diana, the truth will come out, as it appears to be very slowly emerging , unless, it suddenly dies a death, on the instructions of the MI6.

This brings me to the little blond girl that has been headline news in the Greek newspapers for days.
Suddenly the news about the Troika and the Government and Golden Dawn is shot off the front pages. Its all " Little Blond Angel " , " Little Blond Gypsy "." Little Blond Dancing Girl "
The Daily Mail edition which is published in Greece had this as headline news.

How strange then that, although not reported in the main stream media as it should have been, the Governments talks with the Troika had not gone well. To put it bluntly Greece is really a lost cause.
