Nature's Message To Our Eyes.

An intriguing fact about some fruit and vegetables is that often a fruit or a vegetable looks like a part of our body. The reason it looks like a body part is because that particular plant is good for that organ.
It really is as if nature in all her wisdom is really trying to help us. It spells it out for us, so we can understand, by making the plant the same shape, and sometimes, even the same texture. of a body organ.

I remember the story going round after the second World War (1939-1945 ) that the British fighter pilots used to eat carrots as they believed that this vegetable improved their eyesight. Carrots were considered  very useful for night flights.
Sometime, in the late fifties, some Doctor who was famous at the time said that this  was rubbish, and not true. Well, he was wrong as have been proved since. Because he was famous, everyone believed him.
Here are some of the fruit and vegetables that fall into that category.
1.Avocado. This looks like the womb and cervix, and yes, it is good for this part of the woman's body.
This fruit has a high fat content of which 7-14% is linoleic acid( meant to give you a lean body) and it is rich in vitamin Copper and B6.

2.Carrots. A sliced carrot looks like the human eye, and they have been very beneficial for the general health of the eyes.
Carrots are rich in beta- carotene which is converted into vitamin A in the liver and vitamin A is transformed to the retina to rhodopsin, a purple pigment needed for night vision. So those British fighter pilots were correct ! The humble carrot also protects against  eye degeneration and cataracts
3. Grapes   look like blood cells and are very good for the heart. At least 300 studies have discovered that consuming grapes or red wine can reduce the risks of heart disease. The grape keeps fatty  food products from clogging the arteries

4.Kidney Beans. Yes, you've guessed it, they are excellent for the kidney. They strengthen it, lower cholesterol, and are rich in fibre. They are also good for the heart

5.Olives look like ovaries and that is what they are good for. The healthy fats, minerals and vitamins in the olive have been shown to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer and heart disease. An antioxidant in olives also slows cell death in the brain and is suspected of destroying colon cancer cells.

6.Onions. look like the body cells and clears waste material from all parts of the body. They are low in calories, and have  B6 and B1 vitamins plus folic acid which is needed for growth and reproduction of our body cells.  They also contain chemicals which fight off free radicals in our bodies.

7. Oranges and citrus fruit are in shape like the mammary gland of the female, and they are good for the health of the breasts and lymph glands.

So there you have it. It is comforting to know that Nature, or is it God, cares so much about us. It restores ones faith in life, when you realize that these fruits are there for us to keep us healthy. It looks like they were designed on purpose for the benefit of humans. Forget blind chance or survival of the fittest. Life is far deeper than that.

It seems that we are all involved in some 'master plan', but we are not quite sure what it is !
