Greeks Taken For A Ride (2)

We are talking about Greece here.                                                                                                           " Malnourished children turn up at school with nothing more than rice or stale rusks for months ."

" The Greek Orthodox Church alone feeds an estimated 55,000 people a day."

"Municipal Authorities distribute another 7,000 meals at soup kitchens around Athens. "

" In Neos Kosmos,  a working class district  locals are often spotted  skavenging for food at the weekly fruit and veg market. "

" It used to be 1 in 10 who went to soup kitchens, but today it is 9 in 10."

The Greek Constitution Article 2 states :                                      Article 2.

" Respect and protection of the value of the human being constitute the primary obligation of the State.".

Article 21 states:" The State shall care for the health of citizens and shall adopt special measures for the protection of youth, old age, disability, and for the relief of the needy."

Well, wouldn't you know. How odd that not one newspaper, as far as I know , has , sort of mentioned this. This is odd when you consider Article 14  of the Constitution which states:

              Article 14.

" The press is free. Censorship and all other preventive measures are prohibited. "

So why, oh why isn't there an outcry over this ?

I smell a lot of bad fish : a hell of a lot.
